🦷 Prosthesis Treatments
Prosthesis is the name given to devices that replace missing limbs in the body.
These are general names given to devices made to replace missing teeth inside the mouth.
Prostheses are roughly divided into fixed and removable. Fixed dentures, like teeth, are dentures that are fixed to the jawbone or other teeth, which the patient cannot remove at his own will.
Implants and crowns are the most well-known of these prostheses. Total and partial dentures, commonly known as dentures, can be considered as the main types of removable dentures.
Fixed dentures are more comfortable, useful and easier to get used to than removable dentures.
Fixed prostheses should be preferred whenever possible, and when this is not possible, removable prostheses should be used.
